The blog is managed by Neal Mitchell. Neal is a partner in a management consulting firm based in Silicon Valley California. Neal's firm, called lateralworks, engages with technology companies on product/business strategy, portfolio management, and new product project execution in order to help clients realize growth and profit goals.
Neal has been involved in technology new product development for more than 25 years. His consulting practice is based on an ongoing best-practice research project first started in Silicon Valley in the early 1990's with fast development teams.
He has held a variety of executive management positions and was a founding member of a successful software/management consulting firm (later sold and taken public). Some of Neal's clients have included IBM, Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems, General Motors, Philips, LSI, National Semiconductor, General Electric, Sony, Tektronix, and the U.S. State and Defense Departments.
